MERSD Needs Your Input!

  • MERSD is interested in hearing your opinions as they relate to the mission and vision of the District. Your feedback is very important to us and will be used to help guide the development of school and district and improvement plans in the coming months.

The Manchester Essex Regional School District continues to be one of the highest performing school districts in Massachusetts. I am very proud of the wonderful work our dedicated faculty and staff do every day to support the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of our students, and I am very excited about MERSD’s future.

To remain a strong school district, it is important to understand what graduates require to succeed in a changing world and to determine areas of growth for the district. Looking to build upon the success of our program and to prepare students for the workplace of tomorrow, MERSD is engaged in a multi-year strategic planning process.  MERSD has drafted a Vision of the Graduate (VOG), which defines what students should know and be able to do as a result of a MERSD education and examines the question - What are the skills and dispositions students will require to find success? This profile will inform district goals and strategic initiatives to achieve the Vision of the Graduate. We are now asking for community input on the process so far.

Your voice is important and MERSD is seeking a wide range of participation from residents in both Essex and Manchester.  Please encourage your friends and neighbors to participate to ensure that MERSD can define and work toward goals that are important to the MERSD community.
